GlowState's Halo Wearable Red Light Therapy Cap use dual-chip technology to deliver 660nm Red Light and 850nm Near-infrared (NIR) light.  

Dual-chip technology is used in our Cap to deliver a dense, uniform coverage from a compact design.  Each cluster emits 2 light beams giving our cap 194 precision light beams delivered at a ration of 1:1 (660nm: 850nm).

The Halo Cap is a USB-C rechargeable device that delivers high output irradiance in a sleek, easy-to-wear design.

You're in complete control with an intuitive control panel that allows the following session customisations:

  • Power Levels: 3 settings to select from
  • Pulse Mode: options for No Pulse (0Hz), Beathing Mode, 10Hz or 40Hz

General use

  • Use on dry hair & scalp
  • Typical session length: approximately 30minutes
  • Frequency: most days of the week (5–6 days) suits many users
  • Consistency matters more than intensity — short, regular sessions are the pattern most users settle into
  • Stay hydrated before and after use

Eye safety

Do not look directly into the LEDs — the diodes are high-output and emit intense visible and near-infrared light. GlowState caps emit no ultraviolet (UV) light.

What you may notice during a session

  • Mild warmth across the session area
  • A light tingling sensation
  • Temporary tiredness, particularly in the first few sessions as you adjust

If you experience discomfort, stop the session and speak with your healthcare practitioner before resuming.

Before you start

Speak with your healthcare practitioner before using a red light therapy device if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Take photosensitising medication (some antibiotics, acne medications, and others)
  • Have a history of skin cancer or active skin lesions
  • Have a history of epilepsy or seizures
  • Have any medical condition that may be affected by light exposure

Are there any reasons I should not use Red Light Therapy? (Contraindications)

  • You should not use red light therapy products if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known photosensitivity condition, suffer from epilepsy or seizure disorders (particularly in relation to flashing or pulsing light), or have active skin infections, unhealed wounds, or recent severe sunburn in the treatment area. Those with electronic medical implants or who have been diagnosed with cancer should only use these devices under the direct supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. These products are not suitable for use by children.

What will I feel during a session?

  • Most users notice a mild, soothing warmth and occasionally a gentle tingling sensation. Some people experience temporary fatigue during their first few sessions as their body adjusts. If you feel genuine discomfort at any point, stop the session immediately.

When will I notice a difference?

  • Everyone's experience is different. Some users report noticing changes within days of starting consistent use; for others, it may take several weeks. Consistency is the key — regular, repeated sessions are what PBM is designed around.

Why can I see some LEDs shining but not others?

  • Completely normal — and actually a sign that your panel is working exactly as it should! Our panels use a combination of visible and invisible light. The Blue and Red wavelengths are visible to the human eye. However, Near-Infrared (NIR) wavelengths — from 810nm up to 1060nm — fall outside the visible spectrum. Those LEDs may appear "off," but they are actively emitting light energy that penetrates beyond the skin's surface.
